Hypnotherapy and how can it help?
For many years past, Hypnotherapy has been an accepted way of encouraging the subconscious mind to accept changes for the better. In the course of any one waking day, our subconscious mind impinges an untold number of times onto our consciousness and instructs our bodies how to act and react. Our conscious mind simply accepts, without question, the input which our subconscious suggests. The thousands of messages which pass every minute into the conscious mind, whilst part of our physical and emotional processes, go automatically undetected onto our conscious level and determine the responses to any given situation. It's as if we are running on 'Auto Pilot'. At all times through out the process, the client remains in complete control. Hypnosis is a tool which the hypnotherapist can use whilst the subject is in a deeply relaxed state.
When we change the way the subconscious mind responds to things and situations therefore, we can change the way we consciously perceive something to be. Hypnotherapy is a process by which the subconscious mind goes through a brief retraining period. The outcome means that our conscious mind will perform in a different, more healthy way once the old messages are changed or eradicated from our subconsciousness and replaced by healthy new ones.
As a result, our behaviour patterns are changed and all the irrational thinking and fears from the past are eradicated enabling us to live more normal, healthy lives.
